A lovely morning tea was provided by the ladies from the Fibre Group - many thanks to everyone who brought in a plate.
Danii's parents were presented with a matching bed runner and cushions for them to keep as a memento.

We would like to thank the members of the Fibre Group who gave their time and materials to creating this beautiful quilt, and especially to Nicole for her hard work in bringing the whole project together.
The Danii Meads-Barlow Foundation is committed to "the Australian Juvenile Diabetes community to assist families introduce modern technology to compliment management of the disease by way of an alarm system, whereby carers are alerted to anomalies in blood glucose levels, associated with the use of an insulin pump. Alarm technology (as such) is available elsewhere in the world: our aim is to ‘bring it home’, at a cost affordable to each family responsible in the help management of young diabetics. Donations made to DMBF will help us in our mission to see all T1 Children are afforded and equipped with this technology." (quoted from the DMBF web site)
